Nestled on Florida's east coast between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine, the flourishing City of Flagler Beach is home to over 5,411. residents! Since its incorporation in April, 1925, Flagler Beach has grown from a sleepy fishing village to a unique seaside community while still retaining much of its original charm.
We are extremely excited to start the 2007-2008 school year and welcome our largest student population ever, at over 12,500. We continue to live in one of the top five fastest growing counties in the United States and change is always imminent. This is the first year in recent memory, however, when we have not been racing the clock to finish building a school before opening day.
The Flagler County Public Library serves as a central informational and reference access point for all citizens of the County Web maintained by Friends of the Library
The Flagler Beach Patrol Officers respond to all calls for police service placed to the Department, either through the 911 system, or through non-emergency phones. The patrol officers handle the initial investigations of thefts, burglaries, robberies, assaults, and all other felony, misdemeanor, and public service calls. Upon completion of the initial investigation, the case is either suspended, continued to the Investigations Division, closed by arrest, referred to the State Attorney's Office for review/prosecution, or unfounded. The Flagler Beach Police Department supports and promotes the concept of Community Oriented Policing. This is accomplished by the assignment of officers to regular beat assignments, providing state-of-the-art equipment and training, and adequate staffing to handle approximately 50 calls for service received daily.
